Oops, watch that puddle.
Oh, how I do wish that Mary would walk with us on these beautiful nights, through the park, but I guess the chill in this night air is simply too cold for her old bones nowadays.
So it’s just you and me, Charlie. You really do love our special walks, don’t you, good boy? I’m truly grateful that you are still so spry!
I sometimes wonder if I’m the only person in the world who can walk through Central Park and see something different each day.
I have to say that my most favorite time for…
Definition of confidence: A feeling or belief that you can do something well or succeed at something. A sense and belief that someone or something is right and can succeed. The feeling of being sure that something will happen or that something is true.
Confidence is a necessary trait in life that helps you go further. It isn’t always something you inherently have; sometimes, you have to work at it.
Working at building your confidence, though, doesn’t always come easy. …
Affirmations are simple, self-confident “I am” statements. These confident statements may be said or written down. And when practiced routinely will rewire our thoughts, beliefs, and emotions.
If you have a negative belief or thought that makes you feel bad, you can replace it with a positive statement.
If you repeat the empowering thought to yourself regularly — for example, when the negative thought is triggered and also at pre-determined times of the day, you will come to believe it.
This positive statement will become ingrained into your implicit, automatic memory.
When focusing on the affirmation statement, you direct…
You have big goals in your life. You’ve even heard visualization is the key to reaching those goals. But you still hold back. Why?
The most common reason — you don’t have enough time.
Well, who has enough time? According to a Gallup poll, 48% of American’s feel like they don’t have enough time to get the things done they want to.
Between work projects, family obligations, the need for a social life, and a little thing called ‘sleep,’ the day tends to slip past without exactly giving you extra hours in the day to use on something so time-consuming…
Sound healing, also known as ASMR (auto sensory meridian response), is an ancient practice that has been used to improve mental, physical, and emotional health. There are different types of sound healing, including vibrational therapy, which uses vibrations from gongs and tuning forks to relax the mind and body. One of the most popular methods today is binaural beats, also known as brainwave entrainment or brain-tapping. This method uses auditory stimulation to synchronize and balance brainwaves so they align with the beat's frequency.
Before diving straight away into the power of Manifestation and Prayer — I’d like to first visit the power of thought.
When I worked in sales, I once had a boss that would tell us daily, “ you become what you think about most.”
His goal was to instill a sense of power within us. His second goal? To motivate us in such a way that he would create a highly successful sales team. By repeating those words to us over and over again — he wanted them to become second nature to us, engrained in our regular thought process.
What can pain do for us vs. TO us?
Push through it! You got this!!
Some of you may be old enough to recognize the expression from the 80’s — “No Pain, No Gain”. Meaning, without a little physical pain, you’re not going to get the body transformation you seek.
The process of lifting weights is quite intriguing to me. As you lift you are actually tearing the muscles just slightly…
As we countdown these last few days of the year and this decade, I’d like to share the top 10 posts from Rise Love Live and the top 5 videos from Sundays are Simple.
These are selected not from my personal favorites, but based on shares and views.
If you’ve read them before, I invite you to read them again — perhaps a word or quote will mean something different to you, today.
And if this is the first time seeing these posts — please enjoy and add comments where you see fit!
One would think, being unemployed all of…
with a passion for kindness
“Kind” is literally in our species name. So, being kind should be second nature, right? Right! BUT, unfortunately, that isn’t always the case and showing kindness doesn’t always come that easy.
Showing kindness to strangers or during the heat of a moment is a challenge for all and when we blow an opportunity to be kind, we are not very proud of ourselves.
On the flip side, when we are kind to others, especially when we are kind to strangers it warms our hearts — and that act warms their hearts too!
Bonus, you have…
Time and tide wait for no one.
As of this moment, Alexa and I have calculated that there are 23 days left to wrap up any loose ends and step into 2020 on a strong and “right” foot.
368 hours — that seems like a lot of time, doesn’t it?
Then, I pray. I ask for You to be with me and guide me, as I prioritize and focus on the “right” things and all the while still preparing for the baby Jesus.
Well, here we are — another countdown. A countdown to complete “something” with the hopeful…
